Most people on the internet would tell you not to move with emotions, but the reality is, that everything that feels good in my life comes from feeling and moving from my emotions.

By ‘moving from my emotions,’ I mean:

  • Understanding why I am feeling this way
  • Processing if this is a good risk or not
  • Gauging the intensity of the emotional wave
  • Then pulling up my courage and going for it

It’s like a system ingrained in me. I had to go through it every time I felt an emotional wave coming over me:

  • Sometimes the wave is subtle, you lean into it.
  • Sometimes the wave is mid, you just go over it.
  • But sometimes the wave is big, and when you see it, you have to breathe, position your body, and be prepared to float over it rather than let it crash you.

You see, understanding emotions is the same as understanding the sea or the ocean.

Once the wind is blowing up north, it’s usually quite good because the waves are visible and predictable. However, once the wind is blowing from the south, that’s when it gets tricky. Why? Because it’s usually a strong and quick wave that you don’t see coming.

As a former sailor, we call this “the wind of the earth.”

  • It blows to shake up your roots
  • It strengthens your ability to improvise
  • It points out what you still lack in your skills

Now, you might be asking, Why am I sharing this with you? Well, it’s because understanding nature is the same as understanding the human experience.

And since our bodies are +60% water, we’re very much connected to that.

With that, I figured that this earthy wind is like an emotional trigger, while the sea wind is like intuition.

  • One is coming from the upper world (higher self- intuition).
  • The other is coming from the underworld (lower self- unconscious).

The Upper World vs. the Underworld

The upper-world emotions, like intuition, are light and soft.

They guide you forward with clarity, like a gentle wind at your back, helping you move in alignment with your higher self. They feel like trust, inspiration, and a quiet knowing that whispers, This is the way.

But then there’s the underworld, and it’s a whole different game.

These emotions are heavy and raw.

They come with force, stirring up everything you’ve tried to suppress. Fear, anger, shame, guilt and then they pull you down, making you question everything. But these emotions aren’t here to break you, they’re here to wake you up.

Here’s the truth:

Both the upper world and the underworld are part of the same unconscious realm.

One rises to ascend you, and the other challenges you.

But both exist to help us become more conscious of our actions, and behaviors, and, most importantly, take charge of our destinies.

When the earthy wind of the underworld blows, it shakes up our roots. It points to what’s unresolved, what’s buried deep within. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s necessary.

Without facing the underworld, we can’t rise fully into the upper world.

And this is where emotional alchemy comes in.

Turn Your Emotions Into Creations

Whether consciously or unconsciously, we’re all creators of our own realities.

Your current physical reality is the sum of:

  • Your beliefs
  • Your identity
  • Your thought processes
  • Your emotional reactions
  • And where you’re flowing your attention

Emotions play a major role in this reality-creation equation.

They are the driving force behind your attention, the energy you’re transmitting, the behaviors you’re showing, and, therefore, the reality you’re experiencing.

This is because emotions are energy in motion, they aren’t meant to stay stagnant. Whatever the emotion you’re feeling, your body is carrying it in your system.

This flow of energy impacts your vibrational state, which, in turn, influences the actions you take and the outcomes you create.

When you become aware of the heavy, “negative” emotions shaping the reality you’re experiencing, and you choose to move that energy into purposeful action, you become the alchemist, the one who acknowledges the depths of the underworld but consciously rises toward the light of the upper world.

But let me make this clear:

This process isn’t about bypassing, suppressing, or forcing yourself to “just think positively” or “take action.” It’s about BEING the person who holds the perspective of why you’re shifting and why you’re doing this.

Moving the Energy

Here’s a simple process for how you can take an emotional wave and move its energy:

1) When you feel an emotion, ask yourself:

  • What am I feeling, and where is it coming from?
  • Is this emotion from the underworld (trigger) or the upper world (intuition)?

2) Allow yourself to fully experience ( feel) the emotion.

Let it rise without judgment or resistance. Emotions don’t stay forever, they move faster when they’re acknowledged.

3) Since emotions are energy in motion, they need motion to be moved and released.

This can be through:

  • Stretching to release tension
  • Dancing to let the energy flow through your body
  • Journaling to empty your mind onto a seen page.
  • Breathing deeply to create the space needed for flow

4) Once the energy has been moved, now you have the capacity to understand and gain a better perspective on the situation.  With that, you can ask yourself:

  • What can I create from this energy?
  • How can I use this emotion to create something meaningful?

By doing these steps, you align the underworld’s power with the upper world’s flow, creating a state of wholeness in your life.

This Letter’s Takeaway

The upper world and the underworld of emotions are not separate, they are interconnected energies in motion within the same unconscious realm.

One challenges you, the other guides you.

Together, they help you become the conscious creator of your destiny.

To create the life you desire, you must learn how to:

  • Face the earthy winds of the underworld: they’re here to show you what needs to change.
  • Flow with the sea winds of the upper world: they’ll carry you toward your higher self.

And most importantly, turn your emotions into creations.

Every wave, no matter how small, holds the energetic frequency to transform your life.

So, the next time you feel an emotional wave, ask yourself:

  • What is this energy asking me to release? or maybe embrace?
  • How can I use it to create something meaningful?

And with that, my friend

  • Ride the wave.
  • Move the energy.
  • Create the magic.

See you next week.
